Sue founded Horses and Hounds in 2006. After looking at many rental options she decided to build a 12 000 sq ft building in Granby. It was the first Purina premier dealership to be opened in the Northeast. Her background in animals husbandry started at a young age. She has been around horses since she was seven and discovered sheep when she was 35. Sue was active in 4H for many years as a sheep leader. She is also a mom to two boys and owns a farm in North Granby.

John is Sue’s husband, and he has been part of the store for over ten years. He helps in every aspect, from fixing toilets to installing fans and he is an essential part of our everyday activities. His career is an aviation A&P mechanic, but he also works hard on the farm at home. He loves his donkey, Little Man.

Our store manager, Brianna Sotnick, has been a part of our team for the last 4 years. She has been riding horses for 28 years, starting her equestrian career in the Hunter/Jumper ring in southern California, then moved on to Dressage during her time completing her Batchelor degree at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She now competes in Three Day Eventing with her two horses and has held national titles. Not only does she run Horses and Hounds, but she also manages a horse boarding facility, Red Roan Stables, in Southwick Massachusetts. Brianna’s animal experience doesn’t end with horses. She also has multiple dogs at home ranging from Irish Wolfhounds to rescue Terriers. She was an American Kennel Club Junior handler, and then proceeded to become a professional handler in the US and Canada, showing multiple breeds of dogs in venues such as The Westminster Kennel Club dog show.

Sarah Morin is one of our store associates who has 26 years of equestrian experience. For the last 5 years she has been working with a local Morgan breeder producing and caring for show quality horses. Not only does she have hands on experience in the equestrian world, but she also has two dogs (Hope and Emmitt) and two cats (Theo and Sophie) at home.
